When Riverdance premiered at Radio City Music Hall fifteen years ago, the Irish dancing sensation stomped a d stepped its way into the hearts of thousands of people. From Radio City, the sensation moved to the rest of the United States and all around the world, finding millions of fans along the way. Now, the international phenomenon has found its way back to where it all began, with eight farewell performances scheduled at Radio City Music Hall. Beginning March 1st, Encore readers who sign up for the Encoremag Newsletter are enrolled for a chance to win tickets to the show, taking the stage at Radio City March 17–21!

Riverdance has surpassed every expectation its producers and creators ever had. “Since 1996, the success of Riverdance in North America has gone beyond our wildest dreams,” said producer Moya Doherty. “The fact that the show continues to draw and excite audiences 15 years after its debut in Dublin is a tribute to every dancer, singer, musician, staff and crew member who have dedicated themselves to the show.” Riverdance (Composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan) has played nearly 10,000 performances and been seen by over 22 million people, spurning numerous imitators. But Riverdance is still one-of-a-kind, and its return to Radio City commemorates a rich tradition of sell-out crowds and stellar dancing.

Performances for Riverdance’s farewell performances at Radio City Music Hall are scheduled for March 17-21, 2010. For more information please visit www.riverdance.com. To sign up for our Encoremag Newsletter visit encoremag.com/newsletter.
