Ticketmaster Launches a Blog Explaining How You’re Getting Ripped Off
New blog, yes. Reduced service fees, no.

Nathan Hubbard, CEO of Ticketmaster, wrote the initial entry for Ticketology, saying the blog will bring “you regular posts about our business from the people who lead, live, and love it.” And if the first post is any indication, it’ll basically be a website explaining how you’re getting ripped off. For instance:
We get it—you don’t like service fees. You don’t like them mostly because you don’t understand what the heck they are for.
And this:
All of the research we’ve done, and all of our conversations with fans like you tell us that the way we present these fees in the check out process is a huge frustration for you and hurts ticket sales. You just want to know UP FRONT in the buying process how much of your hard earned money you are being asked to pay for a given seat.
The only relevant bit of information from the post is:
If you buy a ticket in a venue operated by Live Nation, you now have three days to return it, up until one week before the show. We cut this off a week before the show because we need some time to be able to sell that ticket to someone else in case you choose to return it.
Still doesn’t make up for $15 worth of fees on a $30 ticket.
