Theater-vet Emily Skinner joins the Broadway cast of Billy Elliot

Welcome back to Broadway, Emily Skinner.
The Tony-nominated actress, currently performing as Mrs. Wilkinson in the Chicago production of Billy Elliot the Musical, will join the Broadway cast in the same role on October 1. She will replace Kate Hennig, who will join the Toronto version of the musical beginning in January 2011. Skinner’s other Broadway appearances include Jeykll & Hyde, The Full Monty, Dinner at Eight and Side Show, a role which earned her a Tony nomination.
She also went on the national tour for Disney’s On the Record (and got to sing “A Whole New World”!).
Billy Elliot the Musical can be seen at the Imperial Theatre.
